Comments:- This recording appears to be of a performance broadcast by Radio France on 21 May 1981. Teresa Zylis Gara was to have sung Matilde, but withdrew and Adelaide Negri sung the role for the first time with three day's notice. See OPÉRA INTERNATIONAL juillet/aoüt 1981 No.41 p.49. The video issued by Live Opera Heaven is listed in their �February 2003 Update� under the name Maria di Shabran. It is stated that it is �A bit murky, decent+� and that the first tape has �a couple of minor breaks�. A 55 minute documentry is included on the second tape.
